Build Your Ads Using FREE Resources

Facebook and Instagram ads are a paid form of advertising, but that doesn’t mean you need to pay for every aspect of your ads.

Although you have to pay to run your ads, there are many FREE resources you can use to build your ads. 

Below is a list of FREE resources I recommend when developing ads:

Graphics – Canva is a graphic design platform perfect for people like me, who are not graphic designers! They have many templates you can use or tons of awesome tools to make ads unique to your business. The best part is, Canva can be completely free. Sign up here. 

Stock Photos – There are 2 platforms I recommend for free stock photos: Unsplash and Pexels. While Canva also offers stock photos that are great, Canva is a very popular tool which means the free stock photos are sometimes used by many businesses. Using stock photos that are overused will allow your business to stand out. 

Video Captions – If you’re using video ads, you MUST have captions. According to recent studies, 85% of Facebook videos are viewed without sound. Adding captions to your videos will allow viewers to understand the essence of your ads without having to turn on sound. Ads Manager has 2 free ways to add captions and I recommend using them. One option is “Generate Automatically” – In this option, Facebook will automatically add captions to your video. You’ll need to go in and review the captions to make sure that the robots entered the correct words. The second option is to “Let Facebook Review” – This version automatically generates captions, but they also review it for accuracy. The only stipulation with this feature is that the video must be less than 3 minutes. 

Ad Copy – If you’re not a copywriter, ad copy can be overwhelming. Which is why I have a blog dedicated to ad copy. You can check it out here! This will help you craft the perfect ad copy that will convert new audiences into leads and ultimately into clients!
